SPORTS PAGE
The sports work has been developing alongside the main schools work since September 2002. Initially, the work was mainly constrained to PE and PSHE lessons and lunch clubs. Recently, God has provided major openings into schools and the team are now delivering many lessons through the ASDAN programme . This has created demand for these lessons and the KICK course is currently the sports team main focus of the work. Alongside this, the team run regular football tournaments as well as the schools work that has also been developing. As a result of the increasing sports work, we now have a dedicated team who are involved solely in the delivering and development of the work.

SCHOOL'S WORK...
The team deliver regular PSHE lessons in schools. These two part lessons cover the themes of right and wrong and enjoyment. The lessons are designed to challenge young people into questioning their ideas of what is right and wrong and on what they base their beliefs on. Currently, these lessons are regularly delivered in only 1 school in the city, however, this is an area that the team are looking to develop further.
The team participate in weekly PE lessons in two different schools. This enables the team to not only provide assistance to teaching staff but also creates opportunities to establish and build on relationships with young people.
Finally, in schools the team deliver regular lunch clubs in 2 schools. The young people come along to meet the team and have the opportunity to not only play football, but ask questions about Christianity. Again, the team are able to build up relationships with young people and provide an environment where the young people feel able to question our faith.
